Biography
Rolands is an independent researcher and animal welfare advocate whose work focuses on the intersection of animal welfare, public policy, and civil society. Over the past several years, he has been actively involved in animal rescue, trap-neuter-return (TNR) initiatives, and grassroots advocacy across China and Southeast Asia. His research interests include animal welfare activism, governance, media, and social movements, with a particular focus on how advocacy develops in different political and cultural contexts. Through both practical fieldwork and research, he is committed to advancing animal welfare through education, dialogue, and evidence-based advocacy.
